Advanced modeling trickery to fully represent the leather weaving.

Each weave is fully modeled.

The raw 3D model was flattened. The weaves were modeled flat to match. And using wrap, FFD and blend shapes, the weaved version was put in place by reversing the flattened raw version to his original shape.
