STAR VR by Starbreeze

This project highlights a detailed visual showcase of the StarVR virtual reality headset, designed and rendered at ESTECH Design for Starbreeze. The StarVR, initially unveiled at E3 2015, was a groundbreaking creation from the French startup StarVR, known for its ambition to deliver truly immersive VR experiences.

A defining characteristic of the StarVR headset was its exceptionally wide field of view (FOV), boasting an impressive 210 degrees, which aimed to provide a nearly 100% human FOV. This feature, combined with advanced optics and VR-optimized displays, positioned StarVR as a high-end solution for integrated VR experiences, particularly in entertainment and professional applications.

For this project, the headset was meticulously modeled in Maya, rendered with Arnold for photorealistic quality, and composited in Nuke. The focus was on accurately representing the StarVR's design, materials, and intricate details to effectively communicate its advanced features and immersive potential. This collaboration aimed to visually articulate Starbreeze's vision for integrated VR hardware and software.
