This project presents a highly detailed technical showcase of the Vélib' self-service bicycle systems, executed by ESTECH Design for JCDecaux.
The core technical focus of this visualization was achieving exceptional material quality and sophisticated lighting. Each component, from the robust metallic frames and durable plastic fenders to the intricate mechanical parts and reflective surfaces, was meticulously textured and shaded to ensure photorealistic accuracy. The rendering pipeline, utilizing Maya for scene layout and lighting, and Arnold for its advanced physically-based rendering capabilities, allowed for precise light interaction with diverse materials.
The final output was expertly composited in Nuke, where further refinement of lighting, color grading, and visual effects was applied to produce a polished and impactful presentation. This technical collaboration aimed to visually articulate the robust design and functional elegance of JCDecaux's urban cycling solutions, highlighting the intricate details and material integrity of the Vélib' systems in both Paris and Nantes.
